The grip is your only contact point with the club and affects how you release the club through impact. So it is important to take some time to find the right grip for your hand size and feel preference.
GRIP SIZE
Grips come in several sizes including: jumbo, oversize, midsize, ladies and juniors. Make sure to select the size that fits your hand size to ensure the best comfort and performance. When your grip is too small, it may cause more tension in your hands. Likewise a grip that is too large may hinder proper release of the club. FIRMNESS
- Soft Grips - For players who prefer extra comfort
- Medium grips - This is the standard choice for players wanting total control without a soft feel
- Hard grips - For players preferring a firmer grip and more control throughout the swing. Harder grips may also feature corded versions to help absorb moisture.
TYPE
You will find grips come with a variety of performance characteristics including: moisture absorption, tackiness and ribbing. If you play in damp and humid conditions, you might consider a moisture absorbing grip or corded grip. While if you play in dry, arid conditions, you might prefer a grip that stays tacky.
